Vanpool

A vanpool is a group of three to five people with similar commutes — they start at the same time and travel to the same destination — of 15 to 80 miles to and from work who share a comfortable van. They usually live and work in the same areas and work roughly the same hours.

Vanpool members pay a monthly fare, typically $100 to $300, that helps cover the costs of the van, fuel, maintenance and insurance. Driving responsibility is shared and negotiated among the drivers.

Carpool

Carpooling is a fantastic way to ease the burden of a daily commute. Not only does it allow you to reduce time spent behind the wheel, it can help save with fuel, maintenance, and even car insurance. Carpooling is also a great way to make friends and connections across the campus community.

Reducing the number of vehicles on campus also has a positive impact on traffic congestion and the environment. Consider splitting the cost of a parking permit to save even more. Carpooling can benefit employees and any of our off-campus students.
