Hourly Parking and Daily Permits

When parking in hourly or short-term spaces, have your license plate number ready to enter into our hourly pay machines or you can download and use ParkMobile to pay by mobile phone. You can pay by credit card, debit card, RamCash and or coins for the amount of time you wish to park. Your license plate number will serve as your permit, so make sure that it has been entered correctly.

Hourly short-term parking

  • View an interactive map of our hourly parking lots.
  • First floors of Lake Street and South College Parking Garages
  • $2 per hour standard, $1.50 at Foothills Campus, $1 at Moby lot 197, and as of July 1st, 2022, $1 at Research Blvd. lot 740.
  • Payment accepted at the lot pay station or through the Park Mobile app.
  • Enforced 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Saturdays, Sundays and university-designated closed holidays are free
    • Payment Required 24/7 in both Parking Garages
  • No overnight parking in any hourly lots
    • Overnight parking available in garages as long as time is paid for

90 minute time-restricted lots

  • Lot 150/Zone 2005: 90 minute max
  • Lot 250/Zone 2015: 90 minute max
  • Lot 349/Zone 2001: 90 minute max

Department Daily Permits

Physical hangtag permits can be purchased for department use via Kuali with an IO. All university fiscal policies must be followed when purchasing permits with department funds.

  • $13 standard price for 1-99 permits
  • $12.50 for 100-999 permits
  • $12 for 1000+

Daily Scratch-off Hangtag Permits

Daily physical hangtag permits are available for personal purchase. The hangtag permits are scratch-off, and can be used to supplement partial-week permits or public transit. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible to purchase the daily physical scratch-off hangtag permits at a bulk discount rate.

  • $13 standard price for daily hangtag permit.
    • $11 each for 10-19 hangtag permits
    • $9 each for 20-29 hangtag permits
    • $8 each for 30-39 hangtag permits
    • $7 for 40+ hangtag permits
  • Hangtag permits are eligible to park in all A, Z, V and  R Spaces on campus.
  • Physical hangtag permits purchased for personal use with bulk discount rates are non-refundable or exchangeable.
  • Hangtags must be purchased in-office at the Lake St. Garage
  • Hangtags for department use must be ordered through Kuali. Contact your department’s fiscal officer for assistance.

Virtual Daily Permits

Employee

Daily permit options for employees:

  • $13 standard virtual daily parking permit available for purchase online, through email, by phone at (970) 491-7041, or in-office at the Lake St. Garage
  • Remote-only options available at a discounted rate
    • $8 daily ‘Moby and Foothills’ virtual permit valid in V spaces of lot 195 and in lot 740
    • $6 daily ‘Remote’ virtual permit valid in lot 740 and R permitted spaces at Pickett Equine Center
  • Employees with the Athletics and Housing/Dining Services departments may be eligible to purchase a daily ‘E’ or ‘B’ permit.
    • Daily E permit valid in all E, A, Z, V, and R spaces.
    • Daily B permit valid in all, Q, Y, W, X, I, S, T, A, Z, V, and R spaces.

Off-Campus Student

Off-campus student daily permit options:

  • $13 standard virtual daily permit available for purchase online, through email, by phone at (970) 491-7041, or in-office at the Lake St. Garage
  • Remote-only options available at a discounted rate
    • $8 daily ‘Moby and Foothills’ virtual daily permit valid in the V spaces in lot 195 and in any non-ADA, Federal, restricted, or load zone space on the Foothills campus.
    • $6 ‘Remote’ virtual daily permit valid in the R spaces in lot 740 and Pickett Equine Center

Residence Hall Student

Residence hall student daily permit options:

  • $13 standard virtual daily permit available for purchase online, through email, by phone at (970) 491-7041, or in office at the Lake St. Garage.
  • Virtual daily residence hall permits allow for parking in permitted spaces relevant to where the residence hall is located.
    • Allison, Corbett, and Parmelee Hall resident daily permit valid in all Q, Y, X, and R spaces
    • Laurel Village, Westfall, and Durward Hall resident daily permits valid in Y, X, and R spaces
    • Academic Village, Ingersoll, Summit, Braiden, Newsom, and Edwards Hall resident daily permits valid in X and R spaces
  • All $13 daily res hall permits are valid at Foothills Campus

  • Discount remote option available
    • $6 ‘Remote’ virtual daily permit valid in the R spaces in lot 740 and Pickett Equine Center.

Apartment Resident

Daily permit options for apartment residents:

  • $4.25 virtual ‘Guest Daily’ permits are made available to the leaseholder for purchase online, through email, by phone at (970) 491-7041, or in-office at the Lake St. Garage.
    • Guest Daily permits purchased by residents of both Aggie Village complexes are valid in T permitted spaces
    • Guest Daily permits purchased by residents of International House or University Village are available in I or S permitted spaces.

  • $13 virtual daily permits available to University Village and International House residents for parking in Z, ZR and R permitted spaces.
  • $8 ‘Moby and Foothills’ virtual daily permit available to all apartment resident students for parking on the Foothills campus and in the ZR spaces in lot 195.
