Students at CSU have embraced the longboard. A longboard is a longer version of a skateboard that allows for larger wheels, which makes for faster speeds (in excess of 10 mph). Increased speeds make longboards practical for commuting to CSU from a nearby residence, transit stop, or a parked vehicle.
Why longboard to class?
Colorado State University encourages longboarding as a commute option. Longboard speeds make commuting inexpensive and practical to access the core of campus. Longboard racks are placed across campus for convenient storage near building entrances.
